Itinerary

Day 1
Çardak Airport, Kaklik Cave, Salda Lake and Pamukkale.

In the morning, you will be picked up from Çardak Airport by your guide. After the meet and greet we will drive directly to our first stop Kaklık Cave.
The cave is the little cousin of Pamukkale and will give you an idea of what to expect in Pamukkale. There is plenty of thermal water in the cave, which is clear, colorless, and sulfuric. In the entrance area of Kaklik Cave, a common moss, and small-leaved ivy plants are growing caused of the constantly dripping and flowing walls. Depending on the enlightenment, those plants, which take on different shades of green during the day, have added a different beauty to the cave.

After the visit to Kaklık cave, we will visit Salda Lake which is a mid-size crater lake in Southwestern Turkey, within the boundaries of the Yeşilova district of Burdur Province. It lies at a distance of about fifty kilometers to the west of the province seat Burdur.

Lake Salda is often included in the Turkish Lakes Region that extends across inner western to southern Anatolia, especially Isparta Province and Afyonkarahisar Province, although Lake Salda is geographically separate from the larger lakes, which are more to the east and, being a crater lake, is morphologically different from these tectonic lakes.

The lake area covers 4,370 hectares, and its depth reaches 196 meters, making it one of the deeper lakes in Turkey, if not the deepest. The lake sedimentary records show high-resolution climate changes that are related to solar variability during the last millennium.

The lake is a popular excursion spot for people across the region or from beyond, the more so due to the hydromagnesite mineral found in its coastal waters, which is believed to offer remedies for certain dermatological diseases. The shorelines, surrounded by black pine forests, are also popular among hunters, the game, and the fowl available including quails, hares, foxes, boars, and wild ducks, aside from the lake’s fish. White sandy beaches, limpid water, and seven crystal-white islets within the lake complete the scenery. Also, the water and clay-shaped sand of Lake Salda is good for the skin. You will see tiny pits.

After Salda Lake we will drive directly to Pamukkale and we have lunch. Then we will visit Pamukkale ancient city and thermal baths. Pamukkale is listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The white beauty of Pamukkale and these unique calcium terraces and pools with hot spring water will amaze you as you walk barefoot on the vast white beauty. Hierapolis, “Holy City” or “Hierapolis” was evangelized by Paul and Epaphras. Also the Apostle Philip lived and burried here. We visit Odeon, Roman Baths, and Theatre. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Pamukkale.

Day 2
Antalya City Tour

In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and we drive in the direction of Antalya for a two hours drive.
When we arrive in Antalya we will visit our first place.
The Düden waterfalls, as the name derives from the Duden stream, which has two-part. One part is called Upper Duden which is in the north of Antalya and 10 km from Antalya city center. The waterfall is 22 meters high and has got some caves and cascades behind it.

There is also a picnic area around the waterfall, where we will keep our lunch stop. The other part called Lower Duden falls into the Mediterranean sea from a 40-meter height. The waterfalls having magnificent views are one of the symbols of Antalya, and a must to see.

Our next stop is the Tünektepe Cable Car; it takes you up to the 605-meter high hill. The hill has magnificent Antalya city, the harbor, and Mediterranean sea views. You can enjoy it by drinking a couple of coffee, tea ext. at the cafe on the top of the hill and take fantastic photos.

The last stop of the day will be Kaleiçi; the old town where you can see antique Hadrianus Gate, the Clock Tower, Fluted Minaret, and the ancient harbor and enjoy the narrow streets of the old city. You are able to do shopping in your free time for about one and a half hours. After the tour, you will be transferred to your hotel.

Overnight stay in Antalya.

Day 3
Perge, Side and Aspendos

After breakfast in the morning, you will be picked up at your hotel where the tour will begin with our first visit to Perge, the Stadium, Roman Gate, Nymphaeum, Roman Bath, Hellenistic Gate, and Agora, and Colonnaded Main Street.
After lunch, we will visit Aspendos as our next stop which is known for its well-preserved theatre. After that visit, it will be time for the last shopping and a visit to the beautiful beaches of Side.
At the end of the tour, you will be transferred to Antalya Airport.
