What to expect during the Pamukkale Familial Olives Harvesting?
Depending on your excursion’s scheduled time, our team members will pick you up from your hotel. We will walk to handpick olives from 50-300-year-old trees. There you will meet the family and learn to harvest olives using traditional methods (stick method, hand-made baskets) until lunch. We will have a picnic among the interesting rock formations of the area including sucuk known as Turkish garlic sausage, cheese, tomatoes, olives, cucumbers, and halva. After a short break, we depart as the afternoon is spent processing the olives picked the day before in the factory. There you will see how the olives are processed. After that visit, we drop you off at your hotel.
