What to expect during the 7 Days 7 Churches of the Bible Excursion From Istanbul?
Day 1: Istanbul – Arrival
You will arrive at Istanbul Airport, meet your tour guide and you will have a trip to your hotel.
You will stay the night in Istanbul.
Day 2: Visit Istanbul
The journey begins in Istanbul, a city that bridges the two continents of the world. You will see Topkapı Palace, Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Hippodrome. You will visit the places where the Byzantine riots took place.
Day 3: Visit Smyrna
You will be transferred from your hotel to Istanbul airport for a flight to Izmir. You will be welcomed from the airport in Izmir. You will go to ancient Smyrna. You will see St. Divine, the second of the seven Christian churches in Asia Minor. In the afternoon, you will visit the Thyatira, one of the seven churches. You will see the remains of a Basilica from the Roman Period and other remains. You will stay the night in Izmir.
Day 4: Visit Pergamon
You will visit the Acropolis with Pagan temples and Zeus Altar in Bergama. You will go to the healing center, Aesculapius. You will stay the night in Izmir.
Day 5: Visit Sardis - Philadelphia
After breakfast, you will move to Sardis, one of the Seven Churches mentioned by St. John Sardes. It was built in 2 BC, according to Philadelphia, one of the Christian communities. You will go to Pamukkale (Hierapolis). You will be able to watch the sunset. You will stay the night in Pamukkale.
Day 6: Laodikya – Ephesus
You will visit Hierapolis and then Laodicea before continuing to Ephesus. You will visit The Virgin Mary's house where she spent her last days. The historical discovery will continue with the old synagogue, the theater where Paul preached, the Celsus Library, and other places. You will stay the night in Kusadasi.
Day 7: Kusadais- Izmir
After breakfast, we do give you the time for doing your last shopping in Kusadasi. Depending on your flight we will transfer you directly to Izmir Airport.
