What to expect during the visit to Lake Eğirdir?
In the morning, we take you, from your hotel at the pre-given times. After two hours of driving, we arrive at Eğirdir Lake. Eğirdir lies between Lake Eğirdir and Mount Sivri and contains the Eğirdir Castle said to have been built by Croesus, king of Lydia, although additions were built by the Romans, Byzantines, and Seljuks.
We start our pleasant journey. after arriving at Akpınar Hill of Eğirdir and we will take a photo break at this place where we can see Lake Eğirdir from a bird’s eye view. Driving further down to Eğirdir.
We arrive at Green Island on Lake Eğirdir. We are taking a walking tour of Green Island. Walking Old Eğirdir Houses, Ayastafenos Church, and Musli Ruhdin Dede Tomb in a panoramic view similar to the prediction of Green Island. Then we visit the Dundar Bey Madrasa, Hızırbey Mosque, and Kemerli Minaret, the Castle, and its surroundings. We will visit the rose gardens as they are famous in Isparta and visit an oil-making and jam factory. We will give some free time for shopping in the famous roses of Isparta.
After shopping, we pass the Yazılı Canyon. It consists of the poem HÜR MAN, belonging to Epictetus, whose written name is found on the canyon rocks. Here we will pass our time for our lunch. After lunch, we go to Yazılı Canyon, on a path that is not too challenging, in the shade of green trees, accompanied by a loud and wonderful sound of water.
Then we make our trip to Kovada Lake National Park. Kova Lake, which is the continuation of Eğirdir to the south, consists of a separate lake filled with narrow alluvium in between. Geologically, the lake, which is a tectonic plate, is known for its turquoise blue waters, as in Eğirdir and Beyşehir Lakes. The surrounding of Kovada Lake has rich vegetation and the definition is a variety of animals. Therefore, it consists of the scope of “National Park”. We are taking a walking tour of Lake Eden. After spending some more time, we return back to our destination to drop you off at your hotel.
