What to see during your Kemer Dam Boat Tour from Kusadasi?
What to expect during your Kemer Dam Boat Tour?
By early morning we will ğpick you up and we will bring you in the direction of Ayden and visit Arapapisti. It is one of the best things to do as we are Bringing the natural beauty of the Kemer Dam region together with the ‘’Arapapisti Canyon Ecotourism Project’’. By means of this Project, the long-forgotten Arapapisti Canyon is going to be introduced to the World.
Arapapisti Canyon, which was formed by years of erosive activity of the Akçay (lit. White creek) River that supplies water to Kemer Dam, offers us a unique nature with its height of 380 m and length of 6 km.
Originating at the intersection point of Aydin, Muğla, and Denizli city borders, Arapapisti Canyon meanders in the form of canals that in some places get as narrow as 12 m. Aside from embodying natural formations, with its city ruins hailing from ancient times, it is also a rare area where history and nature meet. Arapapıştı Canyon, which was opened to tourism by Aydın Municipality in 2017, is 6 km long, 380 meters high, and 12 meters wide and is located at the intersection of Aydın, Muğla, and Denizli.
The canyon contains Körteke castle, Pigianda settlement ruins of Çamlıdere village, a hidden monastery, caves, Kemer bridge, and a 2500-year-old rock tomb. Mountain goats, red hawks, and different heron birds can be seen along the canyon. There is a boat tour in the canyon every two hours between 08:00 and 18:00 in the summer. During the tour which lasts approximately 2 hours, the canyon is introduced and many different spots are visited. After the tour, we drive back to the destination of your hotel.
