Day 1: Trabzon – Arrival Day
Welcome to Turkey Trabzon Airport. Meet with your tour guide and transfer to your hotel and check in. You will be given your room key and the rest of the day is yours to explore Trabzon.
Day 2: Sumela Monastery – Zigana – Karaca Cave
After breakfast, we depart for Sumela Monastery, visit the 4th-century Sumela Monastery which clings to a sheer cliff face in a deep forest, relax beside a fast-flowing stream at Altindere Valley National Park, lunch and keep on traveling along the Silk Road through the Zigana Mountains (Pontic Alps) that will take us to Karaca Cave, considered to be the most beautiful in Turkey for its colors and formations.
Day 3: Trabzon Tour
After breakfast, we depart for St. Sophia (Ayasofya), a 13th-century church, and study its extraordinary collection of Byzantine frescoes, depart for Gulbahar Hatun Mosque, Castle, and Ataturk’s Mansion (a picturesque hillside retreat), visit Ortahisar Mosque (a Comneni cathedral in the old town). Lunch at a seaside restaurant in Akcaabat for famous meatballs. Afternoon, we explore the cobbled stone streets of Trabzon. Drive to Boztepe; enjoy our tea from samovar with the panoramic view of the city. After the tour departs for Uzungol, one of the most photogenic locations in the region, lunch at a fish restaurant, and sightseeing.
Day 4: Rize, Firtina Valley, Ayder
An early morning departure upon breakfast from Uzungul to Rize, Firtina Valley, and Ayder. where we will visit the botany garden and have a panoramic view of Rize, drive to Camlihemsin through the beautiful Firtina Valley, enjoy the panorama with many waterfalls, stone bridges on Firtina valley, and lush green forests on the foothills of the magnificent Kackar Mountains, lunch and sightseeing in Ayder.
Day 5: Ayder, Borcka-Karagol, Artvin
After breakfast, we will drive to Artvin, to visit Borcka Karagol and ancient Georgian Churches Dolishane, Yeni Rabat (Shetberdi) Church in Ardanuc, you’ll be driven beside River Coruh the fastest flowing and best rafting river of Turkey.
Day 6: Yusufeli To Erzurum
After breakfast, we keep on driving through the River Coruh Valley will take us to other Georgian Churches; Ishan, Oshk-Vank, and visit Tortum Waterfalls on the way, lunch en route, and Drive to Erzurum, where we will stay for the night
Day 7: Erzurum- End of the Tour
After breakfast, we will take you to visit Seljuk and the Mongolian monuments; Cifte Minareli Medrese, a theological school named for its towering twin minarets, Yakutiye Medrese, built by Mongolian Prince Olcayto in 1308, is topped with a richly tiled minaret. Ulu Mosque and Erzurum Castle, At the end of the tour, we will transfer you to Erzurum Airport.
