There are a few good skiing resorts around Istanbul that can be reached on a daily basis. Among them, Uludag and Kartepe are the most popular and easily reachable ones with a daily tour. Kartepe, The Snow Hill is located about 1700m high above sea level with a fantastic view looking over Sapanca Lake on one sight and Izmit Bay on the other. The site is popular among the Turkish people for city breaks. There are good walking routes, traditional villages, fishing farms, and natural waterfalls in the surrounding area.
You will be picked up from your hotel at about 06:00 am and drive to Kartepe. The journey will take about 4 hours through splendid scenery. You should expect to be at the sight around 10:00. After spending a couple of hours on the site either skiing or exploring, you will depart in the early afternoon for the return drive to Istanbul. You should expect to arrive at your hotel by 20:00
