The first part of the tour is not a stop but Iznik lake, which will visually satisfy you at least as much as the rest of the tour. Iznik city (formerly Nicea) is located on the east coast.
After the unique reflections of the lake during our journey, our destination is the historical Iznik museum. This magnificent museum was built in 1388 and it is a good example of Ottoman Empire architecture. There are various tombs of the Ottoman, Roman, and Byzantine periods in the gardens. The tiles exhibited here are great examples from the Ottoman era and an important part of them was discovered around various parts of Bursa. In addition, jewelry and coins exhibited with ceramics are among the indispensable historical works of this museum.
We leave here and proceed to our next step towards Iznik Mound and Monument Tombs. Here you will see the remains of the cemeteries of the nobles and kings. The tumulus is an ancient site cemetery where you can see little in the world but a lot in Bursa.
Before leaving and going to Iznik Castle, we will have our lunch in a famous restaurant. After the meal, we will set out toward Iznik Castle. This architectural structure, which you cannot believe even when you look at it from a bird's eye view, belongs to 258 BC. It has a very nice panoramic view. Please try not to discharge your phones and cameras until you reach this castle.
Next, we go to the Ayasophia Church on our bus. During our visit to the Aya Sophia Church, we will stay on the bus and will be informed by our professional guide. This church is a building that witnessed extraordinary events in the middle of the 6th century. We will go to Yeşil Mosque, which is our last stop, before ending our historical tour. It has had only 1 minaret since 1331 and is known as Bright Colors nationwide. The reason for this is the fine craftsmanship and stones inside the mosque. Turquoise tiles have maintained their luster over the years. The mosque welcomes us with its complex and elegant decoration of multi-domed roofs and interior walls. After the mosque, with the happiness of adding a new one to our unique experiences, we say goodbye to you. Perhaps, also with the sweet sleep of a little tiredness on the way back.
